Groundbreaking Ceremony of Moutai Group Science and Technology Building Were Held in Moutai Institut

     On December 24th, over two hundred faculty gathered beside the Artificial Lake to witness the groundbreaking ceremony of Moutai Group Science and Technology Building.

      The Science and Technology Building (the Building) is one of the 12 construction projects of Moutai Group in 2020, with a total investment of RMB3.86 million and a total area of about 1.47 hectares. The Building is positioned as a National Level Baijiu Technology R&D Center with high-end experimental streamline, first-class scientific research equipment, and an integration of innovation, research and development, academic exchange and personnel training.

      Wang Li, chief engineer of Moutai Group, Yu Zhitao, vice chairman of Renhuai Municipal Political Consultative Conference, and leaders of MTI such as Zhao Mingren, Li Zengchi, Wang Weixin, Dai Qingzhong and Mu Jie, attended the ceremony. Wang Li and Yu Zhitao delivered a speech.

      “The Building is one of the key scientific and cultural projects for the Group, laying a solid foundation for the development of the ‘Hundred Billion Era’, which aims to promote the core competitive advantage of the enterprise, and enhance the long-term development momentum” Wang Li said. The Building will realize the positive interaction between scientific research practice and theoretical teaching of MTI, creating a professional talent training platform with Moutai characteristics. When the project is completed, it will comprehensively upgrade the current scientific research environment of the Group, form a more open and sound window for foreign cooperation, and promote the transformation and upgrading of the Group from traditional to intelligent mode.

      Wang stressed, “Science and technology is a powerful tool for a powerful country, which is also an essential element for an enterprise to create benefits”. The groundbreaking ceremony of the Building is a milestone in the history of Moutai innovation, which lays a strong innovation foundation for the future development of the Group. Its completion will become another landmark project of the Group and even the baijiu industry, becoming a strong scientific and technological innovation platform leading the industry and enterprises to move forward in the new era.

      Vice chairman Yu added, “The Building is an important project for Renhuai City to build Chishui River Regional Central City, and also a landmark masterpiece to show the corporate image of Moutai Group. Moreover, it is a modern teaching and research platform integrating Smart Moutai and Science and Technology Moutai, which plays a leading role in promoting the education of Renhuai City, and opens a new chapter for the its academic development.” At the same time, Yu proposed that all construction companies should make sure the Building a high-quality project so as to boost the Science and Technology Moutai going global.

      When the Building is completed, the Technology Center of Moutai Group, a national enterprise technology center recognized by such four departments as State Economic and Information Commission in 1998, will be stationed here. It will integrate the scientific research team of Moutai Institute, provide a good platform for talent training and baijiu-related research, and promote the quality, efficiency and development of MTI. Besides, it will enhance the orientation of MTI-“To serve the liquor industry and our country based on Moutai Group, and embrace the whole world.”
