Good News： Moutai Institute will Represent the Colleges& Universities of Guizhou Province to Participate in the National CUBA League

From October 11th to 18th, the "2021 Provincial College Student Basketball Tournament and CUBA Trial Tournament" organized by the Provincial Department of Education and the Provincial Sports Bureau was held at Guizhou Normal University.

A total of 30 school representatives from the whole province participated in this competition. The competition did not distinguish between the sports professional group and the non-sports professional group. In the face of strong opponent, the young Moutai Institute team showed the spirit of the young students by fighting bravely. After the group won the line, in the fierce competition of the second round, our team finally defeated the opponent with a score of 72:70, and obtained the qualification to represent the colleges and universities in Guizhou Province to participate in the national CUBA league.

The school also organized a women's basketball team to participate in this event. This is the first time that a women's team has been organized to participate in a provincial event. Experiencing this competitions, the players gained a lot and also laid a good foundation for future training and competitions.

In order to show the spirit of the students and promote the basketball games, with a strong support of the school, the Sports Teaching and Research Office of the Public Basic Teaching Department attaches great importance to this trial. In the preliminary preparations, to let the players have better physical reserves and good technical and tactical qualities, the school basketball team coaches and players made full preparations, set the goals and tasks of the competition, and established a fast, stable and accurate style. The team adhere to physical fitness , focus on tactical training, and take strength training as a breakthrough. At the same time, it will gradually increase the shooting percentage, and strive to cultivate a school basketball team to get excellent results in the competition.

Moutai Institute is a young college. Over the past few years, with great support and leadership, and the continuous efforts of teachers and students, our sports has made great breakthroughs in all aspects. In the next preparations, the school basketball team will work harder, strive to achieve higher goals on the national stage, and make greater contributions to the high-quality development of Moutai Institute.
