On May 26, the results of the 8th Guizhou Provincial Teaching Competition for Young University Teachers were officially announced. Faculty members from Moutai Institute claimed one first prize, two third prizes and one excellence award. Specifically, Li Jing from the School of Marxism won the first prize in the Ideological and Political Education group; Meng Zhuoni from the School of Brewing Engineering received a third prize in the Engineering group; and Liu Qiong and Yang Mingxing from the School of General Education were awarded a third prize in the Science group and an Excellence Award in the Humanities group, respectively.

It is learned that this year’s competition was jointly organized by the Guizhou Provincial Department of Education, the Guizhou Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security, and the Guizhou Provincial Federation of Trade Unions. A total of 264 contestants from 75 universities and 11 affiliated hospitals across the province participated in the event. The competition strictly followed its rules and centered on three segments: teaching design, classroom teaching and teaching reflection, providing a comprehensive assessment of the young university teachers’ basic teaching proficiency and overall professional competence.
The breakthrough achievements made by the faculty of Moutai Institute in this competition vividly reflect the institute’s commitment to cultivating young faculty, steadily advancing teaching reform and innovation, and actively fostering a teaching-focused and learning-conducive atmosphere. Taking this competition as an opportunity, the university will further deepen educational and teaching reforms, strengthen the cultivation of teachers’ teaching innovation capabilities, and strive to build a high-caliber, professional and innovative teaching team, so as to provide solid faculty support for fostering high-quality application-oriented talents.
