On March 18, as a gentle spring breeze brings forth new greenery, a distinguished elder with over six decades of dedication to the liquor industry visited Moutai Institute. He is Ji Keliang, a renowned Chinese brewing master and former Chairman of Kweichow Moutai Group. Taking the stage in the lecture hall of the Administration Building, he delivered a special lecture on the history and culture of Moutai, pouring a story of perseverance and heritage into the hearts of the audience like a gentle stream.

As the lecture unfolded, Mr. Ji took the development of Moutai as his main theme. He spoke of its journey from a small distillery by the Chishui River to a world-renowned industry giant, from trial-and-error exploration to technological innovation, and from his own humble beginnings to a lifetime of dedication. With vivid narration, he led the faculty and students back in time, allowing them to trace Moutai's developmental trajectory and cultural essence. His talk was not only about the birth of Moutai but also about the passing of the torch—the spirit of the Moutai people.
Focusing on Moutai's unique brewing techniques, rigorous quality management system, and the topic of healthy drinking that concerns the public, Mr. Ji provided systematic explanations and candid responses. “The path we have traveled has never been smooth,” Mr. Ji said with deep feeling. “It is our commitment to tradition, dedication to research, courage to take responsibility, and unwavering striving that have brought Moutai to where it is today.”

With sincere and profound words, he encouraged the faculty and students: “With persistence in traditional craftsmanship, dedication to technical research, and a sense of responsibility, integrate quality awareness, scientific spirit, and craftsmanship into your future studies and careers, and strive to become young people of the new era with ideals, courage, resilience, and determination.”
The subsequent Q&A session brought the atmosphere to a climax. Faculty and students eagerly asked questions, ranging from wine tasting techniques to market demands, from brewing mysteries to life choices. Mr. Ji gave sincere answers with the wisdom accumulated over the years. Between each question and answer, experience was passed on, spirit was continued, and a heartfelt dialogue across generations took place. At this moment, Moutai's past and future quietly converged in the lecture hall, leaving an enduring impression on all present.

President Yu Haoyang, Vice President Zhang Chunlin, and faculty and student representatives attended the lecture.
