Recently, the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) announced the review results for projects submitted during the 2026 centralized acceptance period. Moutai Institute has been approved for funding for six Regional Science Fund Projects under the National Natural Science Foundation of China.

The National Natural Science Foundation of China is a major funding channel for supporting fundamental research and original innovation in China. It plays a vital role in cultivating research talent, enhancing research and innovation capabilities, and advancing the development of academic disciplines. The approval of these six projects marks a significant milestone in Moutai Institute’s efforts to develop research projects and enhance institutional support for research. It also reflects the progress made by the Institute’s faculty members in recent years through sustained and in-depth work in basic research and application-oriented fundamental research.

Looking ahead, Moutai Institute will leverage National Natural Science Foundation of China projects as an important driver to further strengthen its mechanisms for cultivating high-level research projects, accelerate the development of research and innovation platforms, and enhance faculty research capabilities and academic discipline development. The Institute will strive to produce more high-quality research outcomes and provide strong scientific and technological support for the advancement of China’s brewing industry and its high-quality development.
