Recently, the 2026 “A Splendid Guizhou Journey: Tracing Zunyi” cultural exploration program, jointly organized by Moutai Institute, Zunyi Normal University, and Zunyi Medical and Pharmaceutical College, was held at Moutai Institute. Eighteen young delegates from Thailand, Malaysia, and other countries gathered along the Chishui River to explore the brewing techniques of jiang-flavor baijiu and  experience Guizhou’s rich cultural heritage  firsthand.

During the event, guided by professionals, the international youth toured a beer production line, observed tastings of jiang-flavor baijiu from different production rounds, and gained in-depth insights into China’s traditional baijiu brewing techniques. They also participated in hands-on activities such as cocktail mixing, fan painting, and paper-cutting. In addition, they explored Guizhou’s diverse ethnic cultures and historical development through a wealth of Chinese and English literature and digital resources.

This exchange program significantly deepened participants’ understanding and appreciation of Chinese culture, while further promoting people-to-people and cultural exchanges among the Belt and Road Initiative partner countries. Building on the success of the program, Moutai Institute will continue to expand its international exchange initiatives, develop more signature programs, and accelerate its development into a hub for  educational and cultural exchanges oriented with ASEAN countries and other Belt and Road partner nations.
