On August 28, Li Jing, a teacher from the School of Marxism at Moutai Institute, was awarded the Second Prize in the Ideological and Political Theory category of the 8th National Teaching Competition for Young University Teachers, which was co-hosted by the All-China Federation of Trade Unions (ACFTU) and the Ministry of Education and successfully concluded at Shandong University.

Centered on the core concept of “Delivering an Excellent Course,” the competition featured three key segments: teaching design, in-class teaching, and teaching reflection. A total of 160 outstanding contestants from 32 delegations across 31 provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities, and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps competed in the national finals. Li Jing stood out from the crowd with her solid teaching competence, well-structured lesson design, and a distinctive approach to student development, ultimately winning the Second Prize in the Ideological and Political Theory category. 

This achievement not only demonstrates Ms. Li Jing’s high level of teaching professionalism, but also reflects Moutai Institute’s solid progress in its longterm commitment to the development of ideologicalpolitical courses and the professional growth of its faculty. From our university to the national arena, Ms. Li demonstrated her commitment to teaching and student development with a course that was intellectually profound, emotionally engaging, and profoundly impactful. This honor serves as a milestone, yet more importantly, as a new starting point. Moutai Institute will seize this opportunity to further deepen teaching reforms, inspire more teachers to craft “gold-standard” courses, and further advance its mission of fostering students’ moral, intellectual, and professional development, writing a more brilliant chapter in the journey of moral education.
