On the top-tier stage of Chinas Baijiu tasting industry, a "Moutai Institute Force" is emerging prominently in the industry. Recently, China Alcoholic Drinks Association officially announced the appointment list of the 2025 National-Level Baijiu Tasting Committees. Two faculty members from the School of Brewing Engineering of Moutai Institute, WU Deguang and WANG Yinye, secured spots for their exceptional tasting skills. Hailed as the "Olympics of the Baijiu Tasting Industry", the highest-level event in the sector, only honored six teachers from universities nationwide, with Moutai Institute accounting for two of them. Additionally, two appointed committee members are alumni of the Brewing Engineering major (Baijiu direction) of Moutai Institute, from the Class of 2017 and the Class of 2018. The teachers and students being appointed simultaneously have formed a striking "dream team" in this year's event.

The national-level Baijiu taster renewal assessment, a five-yearly industry grand gathering, is jointly organized by China National Light Industry Council, National Commitee of the Trade Union of Financial and Commercial workers, Light Industry and Textile orkers, Tobacco Industry workers, and China Alcoholic Drinks Association. Since its launch in June 2025, nearly 15,000 tasters from 31 preliminary competition zones across the country have participated in this sensory summit. During the national finals, over 700 top professionals gathered in Chongqing for the ultimate sensory showcase. WU Deguang and WANG Yinye, the two faculty members from Moutai Institute ultimately earned their places on the "Chinas National Baijiu tasting team" with their precise sensory insight.

Among the newly announced list of National Baijiu Tasting Committees, the names of Moutai Institute graduates, WANG Huan from the Class of 2017 and LU Lijie from the Class of 2018 of the Brewing Engineering major, also appeared. Once seeds nurtured by Moutai Institute, they have now grown into pillars of the industry. The simultaneous recognition of both teachers and students on the national honor roll is just like a vivid picture of "teaching and learning benefiting each other". This intergenerational relay across time and space stands as the most poetic testament to Moutai Institute’s educational excellence.

As a cradle of Baijiu talents, Moutai Institute has always been deeply engaged in the brewing discipline, striving to build a dual-qualified teacher team, continuously consolidating the foundation for talent development, and committed to enabling every seed with craftsmanship to grow into a towering tree on this fertile ground.
